A Night of Stars: The Heartfelt Stories Behind Charity Fundraiser

At DBNN, we specialise in storytelling and often have the opportunity to explore the remarkable stories of great businesses. Occasionally, a project comes along that warms our hearts, and we simply must share it with our readers.

We’re delighted to recount our recent experience working with the contestants of the Stars in Their Eyes charity fundraiser event, organised and run by the devoted Kingsmills staff, which raised an impressive £33,000 for SNAP (Special Needs Action Project).

From the very beginning, we knew this event would be extraordinary.

As we collaborated with the contestants and listened to their stories, we were truly moved by their passion, courage, and dedication. Then, we got to meet the staff and young stars at SNAP, and our hearts melted.

Throughout the entire process, Angus from the Kingsmills and the team paid attention to every detail with enthusiasm and unwavering support, making the event truly unforgettable.

It was a genuine honour for us to play our small part in capturing the personal stories of the incredible contestants.

We were fortunate enough to work alongside Scott MacDonald from Flying Scotsman UAS on this project. His videography flair captured the stories perfectly.

Each contestant had their own story, and we were privileged to hear first-hand about their interesting lives and what motivated them to step into the limelight, performing as their favourite artists to raise money for SNAP.

From those with friends and families supported by SNAP to those who wanted to support a local charity, the diverse range of people who stepped forward to sing as their favourite artists were truly inspiring. United by a common purpose, they aimed to create a brighter future for those with special needs and their families.

The committed Kingsmills staff ensured the event ran smoothly, creating a memorable experience for everyone involved. The energy was palpable as contestants transformed into their favourite artists and took to the stage with confidence and flair, all for a worthy cause. The captivated audience showed their support for each performer, adding to the electric atmosphere and the presenter, Nicola McAlley added her own surprise performance for good measure. The audience was also treated to a performance by TFX youngsters and the talented Sarah Mackay.

The £33,000 raised will significantly contribute to helping SNAP provide invaluable services to families and children with special needs. But beyond the funds, this event highlighted the power of community and the importance of coming together for a common cause.

At DBNN, we specialise in storytelling, and it’s not only the moments we capture and share but the people we meet and the stories we hear that make our work truly rewarding. The Stars in Their Eyes event, brought to life by the exceptional Kingsmills staff, will forever hold a special place in our hearts, and we’re incredibly proud to have been part of it.
